Abstract

The human microbiome is the term used for collective combinations of microorganisms

present in the human body as a safeguard against contaminations,

infections etc. According to type and location of secretions, the human

microbiome helps to protect us from diseases by switching on the respective

immune system (Passive or active). The present article is an attempt to make

the readers aware about the natural flora of human body, their role into the

protection of human body from opportunistic infections. The article has also

sparingly touches the immunopotentiation of human flora and their contribution

in enhancing the immune response.
